Sunday Girls Throw A Party--A Birthday Party For Your Monkey!

The following is the first of a series called "The Sunday Girls Throw A Party."

We will lay out a party the way we'd throw one, from invitations to thank you notes. We'll even include a couple menu ideas! When planning our virtual parties our goal is to highlight other etsy sellers whenever we can.

This month we are concentrating on throwing a birthday party for a little girl, although with a few changes it could be for a little boy too.

As we have discussed in previous blog posts invitations really set the scene for your party. It gives the guests a glimpse at what to expect when they arrive. For this party we have created an invitation featuring our cute monkey friend!

Let's start by what to outfit your little monkey in for her big day! We found this super sweet monkey shirt and hat made by the wonderfully talented etsy seller Lil Cubby.

Deciding on decorations is always a fun part of party planning. It's a way to pull the party together and highlight your theme. We found an adorable banner courtesy of Burley Girl Designs on Etsy.

What's a birthday party without a pinata? Check this one out from birthdayexpress.com!

On the menu should definitely be these yummy chocolate covered banana pops! Although we would leave off the peanuts, you never know who may have an allergy. You could also serve this banana crush punch.

The best part of a party is always the cake. And we just love these fondant cupcake toppers from Two Sugar Babies etsy shop! You just make and ice your own cupcakes and place these on top!

Prefer a cake over a cupcake? The picture in our story board is courtesy of Cakes With Character located in Hicksville, NY.

How about giving out the always fun Barrel of Monkey's game as a thank you to your guests? We could even design a cute personalized label to wrap around the game.

And of course you need to send out a thank you note for all those loved ones who came to celebrate your child's birthday! We have some cute ones for you!

Should you click the links to the individual etsy listings and find they have sold don't worry! I'm sure they'll re-list them! Just check their etsy shops!

We hope you enjoyed our party planning blog! Next time join us as we plan the perfect bridal shower!
